As stated before, what this amounts to is trying to continue on with the economics of scarcity, when our technology could clearly aid us in eliminating it. Doing so, by the way, in a manner that would serve to bring us back to cooperating on a more personal, day to day, basis. Engaging each other because the community's life depended on it, as opposed to what supposedly motivates us now.
Ignore this choice all you want. It will not be going away.
