...With hybrid dirigible blimp trains, and we can set it up to run as a public benefit for the countries in question, so that not only would no one nation be able to set what the usage costs would be, profit itself as the major motivator for having it would not be the case in the first place.
When you think about it in fact, with the kinds of maintenance costs involved with such a wide ranging network of fixed surface installations, subject to the whims of various local instabilities, and an always changing topography that more extreme weather will be a given, not to mention the always shifting tectonic plates that keeps the ground rumbling in various places; with all of that hybrid dirigible blimp trains would be, far and away, the much more flexible, and easily adaptable way to go about world connected transportation; especially if we're to insure for true "Public" transportation. A service just as important to world social cohesion as clean energy, clean water, and access to healthcare.
I would again urge everyone to demand of their congressional delegation that any public works projects considered by our government include the development work required to set up the production infrastructure to produce such hybrid dirigible blimps ASAP. The uses, not only for our own military, our own economy, but for relief agencies around the world, and the economies of the rest of the world, this would be a win, win, of major proportions for everybody.
