So Now We Are Involved In A Software Arms Race, Across The Full Spectrum Of What Software Has Important Applications For

Whether we want to be or not. And it won't likely matter, at least within the near, to mid term, time spans, what kind of government you might form, or what kind of new social/economic operating system, for that matter either. Most of those races will still be there.

The question you must then ask yourself is this: Overall, with all of the up, and down sides, of it, does staying with an outdated operating system give you the best chance of addressing, not only this arms race, but all of the others; or would changing the whole dynamic of why we do what we need to to, as well as how; would that make for a better way of addressing them?

You know my bias, of course, so you know my answer to that question. The only other thing I'll leave you with is this thought: right now, which is the bigger motivator on why the different players, in any of these arms races, to get these tech hot shots to actually do the work? Is it that limited group the linked article talks about; the one who cares more about who is using their tools, than they do about profit? Or is it everybody else doing it, for the same reason seekers of profit do everything else that that same, out of date operating system, is responsible for?

It's your call. As a former Templar said to Indiana Jones, however, you damn well better "Choose wisely."
