You get a gunman trying to shoot up a fantasized conspiracy.

This is also what you get when public political figures feed into these fantasies without any regard to the fact that the internet "stories" that started them were completely without factual basis. The same political figures who regard truth with the same disregard they give to facts in the first place. The kind of people who shoot their mouths off at every whim and whimsy. And mostly because it serves their selfish interests.

It is any wonder that the yahoos who listen to them without question follow in kind?
