More Of The Commoditization Of Science


This linked New York Times article concerning the trials and tribulations of a bee researcher is another example of how Big Money views science as a helpful product it can purchase as needed. That the scientist indicated here tried to resist this pressure, and what it cost him, is a reminder that the kind of results the private sector expects has more to do with their bottom line than with getting at the truth of a particular area of concern.
