This is But One Place Where a Terrible Cascade Event Might Start

Yet another must read for all of you out there. Here, in stunning detail, is why the delayed true costs inherent in a cost based form of economy are so terrifying in terms of the vulnerabilities we now face as a nation. And this is the case not only because this is a poster child for what pollution can do to a once pristine coastal area, or even because the destruction of this one facility would tip a frightening sequence of other event dominos in our economy, but that this is but only one type of trigger point, at one location in the nation.

Think on this as you continue eating too much junk food, and pay too much attention to the "Reality TV" we have that's supposed to pass as our involvement in the issues and options of our government.

HOUSTON’S PERFECT STORM is coming — and it’s not a matter of if but when.

The city has dodged it for decades, but the likelihood it will happen in any given year is nothing to scoff at; it’s much higher than your chance of dying in a car crash or in a firearm assault, and 2,400 times as high as your chance of being struck by lightning.

Such a storm would devastate the Houston Ship Channel, shuttering one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes.
