I Am Beginning To Feel Like Those Guys In The Movie "Dream Catcher"

And a lot of it stems from their, what would you call it, survival saying: "Same Sh*t, Different Day" or "SS,DD" for short, the very presence of which, and confusion over, thwarts an alien presence in one guys head from taking complete control of him. That's pertinent because if this guy gets completely controlled the alien would know that he, as well as his childhood friends, were given gifts from someone else who had a big load of "savant" dropped on him; readying him, it is later revealed, for the final confrontation with the alien thing.

I am getting that feeling today by perusing the general tornado blast of info feed I get every day; from both the many layers of the infosphere proper in our lives today, but also from what I like to refer to as bit streams from non traditional sources; the stuff I think my body meaning space does most of the reception of, then its own means of feeling translation, leaving my mind meaning space side the responsibility to dwell, and meditate upon, endlessly, in order to approximate some semblance of a worded understanding of it all.

And I must say, today's blast is all too similar to previous days. So much so that I think I am entitled to a little "SS,DD" declaration here.

As well as to say that everything listed, again, via different examples, relates to the same kinds of connections as my last post:

1: Big Money, and the system that supports it,, not only caused most of the problems, it inevitably
gets in the way of solving any of them.

2: Information as jealousy hoarded commodity will not allow Democracy to operate in any way,
shape or form, according to how it ought to operate; at least if one is sincerely vested in the notion
of a workable society, that respects the rights of the individual, as well as the rights of the group as
a whole.

3: It is not too late to turn back catastrophic climate change, but the window of opportunity for that
chance is closing as I write this, so we must act quickly. But despite that urgency, we must still
demand that the technology we use to help block sunlight must adhere to the twin notions that:

a: It must be as non invasive as it is possible to be.

b: If it is something that we dial up in effect, than it must be something that we can dial back
down.

c: It must not only coordinate with new environmental goals as it works to do what ever needs
doing, it must also endeavor to be a leveraging element itself towards reducing carbon in the
air; as in having whatever it is you do utilize natural fibers as much as possible, to further
accelerate demand for more carbon sequestering plant production.

4: The only way we can take advantage of that window of opportunity is to dump Capitalism,
mobilize the nation, much like we did for W.W. II, and then do a complete worker buyout of the
entire national edifice of commercial ownership; following that up, as fast as new academic
research, and new holistic planning, can devise, the way we will translate ourselves into a new
definition of work, and the means by which we balance the rights and responsibilities, of both the
individual, and the larger social construct itself. And if that means convening a Constitutional
Convention to amend the Constitution significantly, so as to allow for more City State
independance, than so be it.

5: And the only way to form the political will to do this, in my opinion, is to form a new "Grand
Compromise" party. A party that would embody the compromise between the Libertarian Right,
and The Progressive Left.
There truly is not much time left to do enough, soon enough. That is why it is time to cut all of the crap and get down to some very basic, ugly truths. Either we do what we need to do to adapt or we perish. It is that simple.

[Post Note: If you want to get an understanding of what it is meant by a real "Mobilization," you only need to listen to Mr. Stewart here. Instead of hearing all the personnel needed, though, as just more bodies for making war, just think of ordinary working folks who felt the call to serve in something very important. A grave threat to be sure, but one now that does not need weapons. It needs people willing to sacrifice for something that is as precious as life itself, and I think the survival of the planet qualifies for that. J.V.]
