If You Can't Afford To Get Married How Could You Possibly Afford Raising Children

But even more basic than that is the underlying understanding we have now, whether we're consciously aware of it or not, that without confidence in stability in your life, and I mean real economic stability, how could you ever even hope to raise children to have a chance at contentment, or success.

The fact of the matter is that we have grown to expect that the financial rug will be pulled out from under us; and that it will usually happen when we are least able to accommodate it. Which is why you then start to avoid connections that would leave you vulnerable to the ground falling away beneath you.

How can any society that seeks to prosper into the future continue in this manner.
