Whether You Want To Acknowledge It Or Not, We Are At War

Unless you have drank too deep already, of that "Fool-Aid" the terrible Mr. T flaps out of one set of cheeks, or another (he talks out of so many sides of his mouth its difficult to know which set are flapping at any given time, though it all inevitably raises the same kind of stink), and for which the Trump Chump Brigades have drunk so deeply; if you haven't sipped the "Fool-Aid," and slumped into complete stupidity, and willful ignorance, then you might have noticed that we are at war.

Not a shooting war of the old type, you understand, any more than a war of ideology, for it is with information itself that this war is now being fought with -- putting us at a distinct disadvantage because information, and money, are the same things here; and for which too many, of our own citizenry, jealously scheme to control all they can of.

No, this is simply a war for economic dominance by a new financial player; a player who just happens to have the main, operative aspects, of a nation, at his disposal (and someone whom, I suspect, has become the envy of would be Criminal Capitalists everywhere).

This war was no doubt declared secretly, and some number of years ago, but the truly terrible part here is that the people, who's name we mistakenly associate with our election troubles, are not the ones declaring this war. I say that because, though they may certainly suspect it, they weren't actually included in the decision making process, any more than they were told, outright, that the fateful decision had been made.

No, what we are really dealing with here is a new kind of economic entity I have been referring to as "Criminal Capitalism Inc," and able to disguise itself, however ineptly, as a duly elected government. The leader of the main example in existence right now is someone our Terrible Mr. T does everything, in knowing what to kiss when, short of outright, public fellatio, to please. So much so, in fact, that only an idiot wouldn't have reason to at least to be quite suspicious of all of the shenanigans he has been clearly shown to be entangled in, with that Criminal Capitalist entity, that also disguises itself as an actual, representative government.

The bottom line here, though, is something everybody needs to be very clear on. Because we are at war, if you do anything to aid, and abet any, and all, agents working on the behalf of that criminal, economic entity, you are automatically a traitor to this nation. It cannon be otherwise.

The other thing you need to be clear on is that this is also just more more reason why, we as a nation, need to mobilize as an entirety, to an integrated, managed, effort based economy, in order to meet this new threat. Something, of course, that we are also in desperate need to do to have any chance of addressing the changes we will need to make to heal not only the planet, but ourselves as well.

The two sides of our great political divide may well hate each other now, but that does not change the fact, in any way, that, if we don't find a way to work some kind of "Grand Compromise," and very inter coursing soon, as a way to tolerate each other enough to work through these challenges, we will all perish. And that means virtually every body on the planet. No matter which side of the divide you might be on. It's that simple.

It's your choice to make people. You damn well better choose wisely.

And even if they, at the last minute, do allow a few witnesses, you know it will be an incomplete list, with incomplete documentation, and the final vote will not be impeachment; even with such a mountain of established, factual evidence, of what the man so blatantly did. So a tyrant in the making is embolden to do what tyrants will always do.

Demand more uncontested power.

And so the toadies in the Senate, who enable him, are shown to be not only the cowards they really are, but also the self centered opportunists who don't care what form of destructive evil they tie their ambitions to, so long as they get their thirty pieces of shiny shit. Shiny shit that buys them everything but what is right, moral, human, or loving; all as the planet dies in this supposedly, wonderfully booming, economy. The booming part, of course, becoming more and more obvious as the actual indicator that things have been flying apart for quite some time.

And so now it looks like there isn't anything that's going to be able to stop it, because not only have the Liberals compromised themselves with their own attraction to money (they deal in "Dark Money." too you know), they have no new ideas, to make an obsolete system work within the new rules of electrified experience retrieval. And when, conversely, the other side has abandoned rules altogether; save one, and that being "it's only winning that counts," and the winner, certainly, who gets to do the counting, of the arbitrarily defined, and ever more abstracted, shiny shit.

If this abdication of Constitutional responsibility by the Republicans doesn't convince you to wake the hell up I guess nothing else will. A pity. A real, absolutely damning pity.

Just remember this moment when things start really hitting the fan. Remember that we could have turned it around if we could have just stopped listening to the corrupted money men.

All of life, as we have come to know it, is going down the figurative drain because so many of you couldn't wake the hell up, and start listening with your heart, and your head, in dynamic balance.

I wonder even if all that many of you will share any sense of my shame that so few of us, did anything at all, to really try and keep this from happening.

I know I should have done more, sooner. Too many mistakes, from too many distractions, and my own poor choices early on. But I have always tried to not to let that stop me from doing what I can do, in the ever ongoing present. I have to admit, though, that I was hoping to get more of you to do the same.

As the escalating situation with the Corona Virus, and Australian Fire Tragedy, indicates only too well, sometime, in the next four years, it is highly likely, that either a world weather event, or a world political event, or a world economic event, or world biological event (etc), will trigger so many subsequent, and nearly catastrophic, collateral effects, to things that affect the other three areas just mentioned, that the cascading waves of total, net disruption, will bring the world's economy to its knees. And whether that event starts here, or not (as you are already beginning to see), it will be just as devastating to our economy, and related institutions, and critical services systems, as it will be for everybody else; and perhaps even more so.

As such, and precisely because of the severity of the total, cascading effect, the national mobilization, that I have been suggesting we think about doing, before the crisis hits, will be forced upon us. And in that will be the virtually inescapable need for government to take over management of the economy, and insuring the re-establishment of some kind of social order.

Now ask yourself. Do you want a clearly disturbed individual, who throws tantrums, that a three year old would admire, every time he is told that power is supposed to have limits?

One who unabashedly covets, and admires, every brutal thug, and murderous dictator out there, and who no doubt wishes he could be our "Dear Leader." Just like Kim Jong-un?

Do you want that person to be in rightful possession (because this will be a very real emergency) of what will be an effective dictator, for as long as the dictator says it needs to continue?

Are you really, seriously, comfortable with that? Because if you are then I don't see how this country does anything but end up having itself torn apart, and the rest of the world, apart with it, and precisely because we're making enemies both of ourselves, as well as with seeming to provide so much of the rest of the world with cause to do the same to us; making us all the more vulnerable.

Just remember that this is the guy that has pressed the high jacking of construction funds that would have rebuilt the flooding devastation at Camp Lejeune (where working and living conditions were seriously compromised). Construction funds that might also be used to start addressing how our Navy is going to be able to service any of it's ships, much less build new ones, if most dry dock facilities are under rising sea levels. Doing all of this, naturally, because it's something that would make him look good, delivering on a really stupid campaign promise; because building walls does nothing to solve a very complex refugee problem.

Just remember that this is the guy who put on a child's triad because his Generals weren't ready enough go kill more people for oil. Which, of course, only people with gobs of money want to continue pursuing, at all costs; but in this case, to working people, almost exclusively.

Just remember that this is the guy gutting every protection, and investigative agency the government has. The very people who were supposed to protect us from bad things being put into the environment, and us. Who were supposed to let us know that bad actors, either in the economy, or government, at various levels, were ignoring reasonable intents to save lives, and resources, at the behest of the very rich entities they are supposed to be watching over. Watch over things so that they don't blow up on us regularly, or start major fire storms, or put more nasty chemicals in our drinking water, etc.

This is the guy you are going to trust if you let this happen. This is the guy you think will resist the time honored dictum of: "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

If that's where a majority of you decide to put your trust then all I can say is that I am glad I am old, and not likely to be around a whole lot longer.

Time, And Truth, Will Hold You All Accountable

How many more children must be ripped from their parents; many to never be reunited again? Simply because their parents were made to be desperate by horribly chaotic conditions in their home countries? Conditions that we bare a significant share of the responsibility for.

How many tyrants aided, and existing "Dear Leaders" abetted, will it take, as they kill more journalists, dissenters, and the simply weak and desperate?

How many innocent people killed simply because he throws a tantrum, based on whatever crazy impulse that grabs him at the moment? How many more of our once valued foreign relationships pissed, and defecated on, figuratively speaking, will it take, isolating us ever more from effective engagement with the rest of the world? Creating more fear, and suspicion and, of course, more fertile ground for a budding new "Dear Leader" to come into being, to save us all from it.

How many more states, of his own base, must suffer the most from not having affordable healthcare; of being the dumping ground for so many polluting industries; or of suffering the most from the opioid epidemic; and that because the real economic policies he promotes, and not the smoke he likes to blow up most people's butts, creates more and more lost people, as well as more and more very sick people. People who have had their sense of value, meaning, and whether they matter or not, taken away from their hands, and those of the folks who live with them, in their communities, and put instead into the "Invisible Hands" of an absolutely, inhuman, toxic, and mutated, old economic operating system. One that we cannot possibly continue with, precisely because it is so supremely out of date.

This is so not about the fact that the Dems lost the last election, and he won. We are well past that unfortunate occurrence (and for which both political parties, as well as a corrupt economy itself now, are responsible for), and current factual reality.

This is about the fact that, not only is he guilty of High Crimes and Misdemeanors (which his own people have already admitted to, and the facts for which the other side are unable to dispute), he is criminally incompetent to hold that job any longer.  Absolutely criminally incompetent. I mean seriously, he can't even read a brief passage in the Constitution, or recieve factual military briefings, without throwing a tantrum.

Better think long and hard on this Senators. Long and hard.

Ugly as it is also impractical, in the long term, this kind of mentality additionally serves to illustrate the difference between those who would covet only the making of more meaningless counters; as opposed to those who want to make something meaningful that they can be proud of; something not only truly useful, but truly safe to use as well; throughout its entire operational lifespan.

As Capitalism has clearly shown us, however, one of these modes of operation has a future, and the other does not.

For Capitalism, of course, the choice has always been to cut corners, for the sake of bigger profits. And we have seen what that results in.

Now that the planet, and life in general, are making it clear that the unpaid debt, for this lack of wisdom, is no longer renegotiable. There will be no further refinancing rounds to carry the burden forward a few more decades as there is simply no more habitat capital, or life process carrying capacity, left to fiddle away with any longer. We've used it up and now it is time to change radically, or reap the whirlwind.

And do keep in mind that it is not just the poisons put, or the heat blocking molecules, or simple indifference to other people's safety, that is output here, and for which many suffer. It is also the very nature of our change in sensibilities; the way we perceive, and conceive of the world about us, and thus also of how we need to fit within that changing world. A fact brought about by the very nature of our changing, new forms of instrumentality; the new extensions of our faculties that demand new ways of engaging with the world (as Marshall McLuhan, and Harold Innis amply demonstrated in their books).

The upshot of this is that we now need meaningful involvement in depth, as opposed to the old notion of segmented, isolated, and unbelievably abstracted, kinds of machine work; work that is the hallmark of assembly line manufacturing, for the needs of mass production. So instead of being made to feel like we matter, and that we are needed, to keep our redefined, working communities going, we continue with the kind of production that mass consumption demands; with its terrible burden of economic marginalizations, to keep both the power status quo, and weaponized messaging, going to keep the hard sell going, to keep the consumption able to provide the ever more jobs for ever more people going. And so nobody trusts much of anything anybody else says anymore, and common ground becomes ever more difficult to find.

Yes, things are quite literally "Booming" these days. They are doing so,
however, as an impossibly old engine that's not only suddenly operating on a new, super fuel, but also operating with a transmission system that puts power, to old wheels, in the control of too few, and all operating with only one dictum: "More pedal to the metal, and damn the pieces flying off," just as long as we keep on doing more, faster. More profits, more money, more power to press the pedal down harder. For surely there will always be enough money to buy our way out of whatever. Right? Even if things fly to pieces all together?

So the question is, which type of person are you going to be now that our biggest choice as a species is staring us right between the eyes, and the clock is ticking.

Yes, The Economy Is Booming #2!

The real question you have to ask yourself, as the collateral damage mounts, is this:

Why is that not necessarily a good thing? Even as we see, and feel, things flying apart all around us, but are always so distracted, and numbed, and inured to the suffering; both of the very fabric of life itself for the planet, but for our long suffering, and decaying, social systems (because people aren't being socialized in any coherent, and stable way, at all any more).

Well... Think of it like this:

First of all, let's make one thing quite clear. It is not a water wheel, or an old windmill, or a steam engine, or a combustion engine even (ignoring the small bit of electricity it might take for spark ignition), that is powering this old economic operating system any more. It is electricity! Electrons gathered even, as if by magic, from sunlight itself, as well as from a whole host of well informed, new processes, that have able to turn silicone into magicly structured, weaving machines; spinning ever more of everything into gold now, for the ones who control how the structuring is defined of course.

So, why is that so important?

It is because, with simply pouring on more electrons, as your real modus operandi, in putting the pedal to the metal, as it were now, what you are doing is creating an acceleration modality that so vastly surpasses what old mechanical, and old chemical methods of energy translation, in creating motive force, to turn a wheel, or to push something along in a straight line faster, that this pouring on is like comparing Charlie Chaplin, and Buster Keaton, both shoveling coal into a railroad engine boiler, to a hyper velocity, electromagnetic rail gun, or somebody with quill pen, and ledger writing, to a modern, load balanced, transactional database.

Now, what is the consequence of that, you might ask?

It is this: Capitalism is a thing that was created for windmills, and water mills, and animal power, and even steam for a while. That heritage mandates a certain pace of things so that not only do the material aspects of what is produced get processed at a usually stoic pace, so does our ability to gain more knowledge, and thus upgrade process techniques, so as to improve efficiency; because of course profit and efficiency have become, knowingly, more mutually leveraging.

Now, however, that old pace of things is exactly a part of what we miss of simpler times.

And so the big wheels of production, for mass consumption, that has become the driving assumption of Capitalism, has to have amplified want to be the fuel to power the quite equally necessary, amplified rates of consumption (in a planet that can no longer tolerate that), because of course, the ever more efficient abilities makes every work effort, potentially much, much more productive; and all of that production must be sold or it interrupts the flow of money; and because money has been made as electrons, itself, moving through circuits via the path of least resistance, the acceleration that the idea of "putting the pedal to the metal" expressed, now gets locked into place.

And so now, not only is there no handle, or pedal, with which to slow the thing down with (that works very well any more, at least, and without creating horrific, cascading, collateral damages), the idea of process itself is made ever more controllable by the silicone weaving machines themselves, so that the electrons, and their least resistive demanding, new paths, are put in control, of more and more of everything (with all of the corruption, and addiction that entails).

The first part of the bottom line here is that, even without electrons, Capitalism was never all that structurally committed to real human need. It certainly could be responsive to it, in some ways, but because it has also been so susceptible to the inherent frailty of humans in the first place, because it has always been easier to induce people to buy into whatever if you use our baser instincts against us, as well as to say that it also feeds into the fear inherent in what drives greed, as is the nature of hoarding, but also of envy, and lust, for that is what powers the attractiveness of power in the first place.

Now consider electrified Capitalism under the rule of either a new human/machine tyrant, or just an AI tyrant. Do you really think it is going to be operating for very long with any regard for real human need? Beyond what might be some awful minimum to keep a biological backup to what the new rulers dictate is fodder, or grist, for the continuance of whatever continuing power accumulation, and utilization machine, the new tyrants, new found fantasies dictate?  Ever more addictive fantasies directing the satisfaction of ever more demanding lusts; because the amping up will always have to continue. Because the old thrill never lasts very long now, does it.

The second part of the bottom line here is that neither the Democrats, nor the Republicans, have any real interest in changing, in any fundamental way, this out of control, electrified money making, mutation machine. They can't have as they are both so caught up in, and infused by, electrified money, there is no hope of ever separating them.

No, if we want things to change we will have to demand it directly by unified, and organized across most major forms of employment, comprehensive work stoppages. And only by demanding that something completely new be put into place for what is so abundantly, and clearly, obsolete. Something where we, the working people of America, own the communities we do our newly defined work for. Newly defined work that makes sure everyone feels needed, is given meaning, and has a real voice in what happens in their community. And every community is given new freedom in deciding how they want to live.

Think about it and, as I have said before. Just make sure you understand the very difficult choices that are going to be absolutely crucial in deciding whether we all survive or not in the next few decades. Like the Oracle in The Matrix made clear, no one can see beyond a choice they don't understand.

The sad fact is, though, that even if we tried to do so now, for whatever the best of reasons might be, the suspicions of both sides of the political divide, coupled with the current corrupt regime in the White House, would make doing so a very problematic roll of the dice, as to whether one side, the other, or both, might take to the streets in great numbers, and with terrible passions unleashed.

And that hardly even begins the discussion of how we do the various debates that need to occur now to determine the priorities, and how those priorities might be addressed, that reasonable, and caring people, might see the need, to be a part of what such a national mobilization would be pressed to accomplish. And, one can only hope, to do it in a comprehensively integrated way, so that certain, common measures, would be leveraging the success of more than one of the identified priorities, and, just as importantly, not getting in the way of any of the others as well.

Doing it also without one side, or the other, working actively to sabotage the other, no matter what truth either side might want to sell the rest of us.

I am, as already stated, quite biased in this. A bias, I might add, that comes from over 25 years of doing software, and systems analysis, throughout most of the major parts of our economy (Banking, Law, Health Care, Public Power, Food Manufacturing and Sales, Aerospace, non profit social initiatives, and a variety of small businesses -- video stores, real estate, and maintenance businesses, etc). That experience, as well as my personal life experience, has led be to conclude that we must have a new means of doing social house hold; of doing work not only for individual prosperity, but for group prosperity as well; and which, by design, is automatically, environmentally sustainable.

In that biased view is also the personal conclusion that the two party system; the one that came about from the old version of Capitalism, and with it, has become just as mutated, and corrupt, as the mutated system itself.

And how could you have expected otherwise; especially given the way the richest, and most powerful, have lately begun to cement their absolute hold on power; corrupting the last court of recourse in this nation, as well as the district representational system we've used for centuries now, to have a House of Representatives (giving them a huge transfer of wealth in the bargain via "quantitative easing," and the Ryan Tax giveaway, while he was still Speaker of the House) pretend to work as a truly representational process.

That last sentence, though, should be a real indicator of just how much our new instrumentality has changed things. That we could still be thinking (indulging in "Rearview Mirror" vision, as Marshal McLuhan would say) that "Representation" could still work in the electrified age of facade, broad spectrum, carefully targeted, deep fakes propaganda, for all aspects of media, and the engineered messaging, all of the new tech makes possible. Which is, of course, why I have been saying we have to take responsibility for ourselves; not only in running our own cities (sharing in getting all of the tasks that takes done, on a constantly rotating basis -- so no one gets stuck doing, whatever comes to be the current, truly shitty work), or counties, or parishes, or whatever grouping we want to have for the general term of "City States," but also of becoming our own, direct vote, House of Representatives.

So. No matter what your bias is, unless we all come to terms with the idea of the necessity of finding a way to tolerate each other, and reach a "Grand Compromise," we will all lose.

Even those other nations, who seem to have become so adept at conflict in this new age of instrumentality; an age only speculative fiction writers were able to imagine a few decades ago. Even they will lose; lose because, in the end, the only thing any victor of such conflict will inherit is just a slightly less diminished view, of just how bad, the final set of cascade events will be, when both natural, and social systems, begin to collapse en mass.
